Successful Kick-Off/Orientation Webinar for IIEE-UAE ACPE

The Institute of Integrated Electrical Engineers – United Arab Emirates (IIEE-UAE) Chapter successfully conducted the Kick-off/Orientation Webinar for the ASEAN Chartered Professional Engineer (ACPE) Batch 10 on February 9, 2025. The virtual event, held via Zoom, started at 6:00 PM and concluded at 9:00 PM, marking the beginning of an exciting journey for the new batch of aspirants.

Out of the 14 aspiring ACPE candidates, 13 were in attendance, each taking the opportunity to introduce themselves, sharing their professional backgrounds and experiences. Their enthusiasm and commitment to pursuing ACPE certification were evident throughout the session.

The webinar was spearheaded by the esteemed ACPE Mentors, led by Chairman Engr. Alex Villanueva, Vice-Chairman Engr. Benjamin Gallego, and member Engr. Frederick Aquino. They provided valuable insights into the ACPE journey, outlining the process, requirements, and the key milestones the aspirants need to achieve. Their guidance set a clear roadmap for the new batch, ensuring a structured and well-supported progression towards certification. Also the event was attended by the Chapter President Marlon B. Hipolito and Vice President for External Affairs, Engr. Eryl Villa as well as Vice President for Technical Affairs German Borlagdan Jr.

During the session, the 13 aspirants unanimously voted for Engr. Robert Reyes as their batch coordinator, entrusting him with the responsibility of leading and coordinating their activities throughout the journey.

Furthermore, members of ACPE Batches 8 and 9 shared their personal experiences and challenges, offering words of encouragement and practical advice to the new aspirants. Their inspiring stories underscored the significance of perseverance, dedication, and continuous learning in successfully achieving ACPE certification.

The orientation webinar concluded on a high note, with the aspirants expressing their eagerness to embark on this journey, armed with the support and guidance of the IIEE-UAE BOD’s, mentors and previous ACPE batches. The success of the event marks the beginning of another promising chapter in the professional development of Filipino electrical engineers in the UAE.
