2025 IIEE-UAE Mid-Year Conference

Powering Progress — The 2025 IIEE-UAE Mid-Year Conference was successfully held on August 10, 2025, at Villa Rotana Hotel, Sheikh Zayed Road, Dubai, UAE. The event began with the introduction of the 2025 Board of Directors along with the former IIEE-UAE Presidents. This year’s conference brought together 56 participants from various sectors of electrical engineering. Attendees earned 5.5 CPD credit units, further emphasizing the conference’s commitment to professional growth and technical competency.

A forward-looking presentation on advanced lighting technologies, focusing on intelligent controls, energy savings, and sustainable design approaches for modern infrastructure.

Adding further value to the event were inspirational messages from IIEE National leaders—2025 IIEE National VP-Technical Affairs Engr. Cleofe T. Caidic and 2025 National President Engr. Alberto R. Herrera—who emphasized the importance of technical seminars in enhancing members’ knowledge, skills, and readiness for future challenges.

The conference also introduced members who filed their Certificates of Candidacy for the upcoming 2026 IIEE-UAE Board of Directors election.
