Established in year 2007. It is a non-stock, non-profit organization and exists under and in accordance with the laws of the Republic of the Philippines. It has total number of 186 Filipino members with various electrical expertise working from different sectors and industries within United Arab Emirates.

The Chapter, due to its dedication and unselfish service to its members has been a recipient of numerous awards – Chapter Excellence Award Bronze in 2012, Chapter Excellence Silver Award in 2014, Chapter Excellence Silver Award in 2016, Chapter Excellence Bronze Award in 2017, Chapter Excellence Bronze Award in 2018, Chapter Excellence Silver Award in 2019, Chapter Excellence Platinum Award in 2021, 2022 and 2023, as well as the most coveted Most Outstanding Chapter (Foreign Region) in 2021 and 2022 given by IIEE National Office.

The organization has been the medium of technical trainings and seminars which promotes continuing professional education among its members. The Chapter is committed to bring at least two (2) technical seminars yearly to keep members updated with latest electrical technology/innovations/trends in the market.

In 2014, the chapter played a vital role as main organizer of the 2nd IIEE Middle East Regional Convention (2IIEEMERC) with participating guest from other IIEE Chapters in the Middle East – Bahrain, Central Region Saudi Arabia, Eastern Region Saudi Arabia, and State of Qatar Chapter. In 2017, the Chapter hosted the 5th Middle East Regional Conference and it not only duplicates but surpasses the success of the 2IIEEMERC.

 As of 2022, amidst the challenges being brought about by the Pandemic, IIEE UAE Chapter adapts to the new normal by conducting monthly hybrid membership meetings, technical seminars and other activities. As of 2024, the Chapter continually serve the members with the end goal to continually developing and improving their professions to be globally competitive individuals.
